Circa 16th century AD A cast salt-glazed ware jug with bulbous body and tall neck; simple loop handle to the rear; three impressed heraldic medallions to the equator and grotesque bearded male face to the lower neck. Ceramic, 690 grams, 18 cm (7") Private collection, UK; acquired in the 1990's.
