Circa 16th-17th century AD An iron hand-forged sword blade, lozenge-section with a gentle profile taper to the rounded point and pronounced distal taper; the shoulders slight and rounded; the tang broad without flattening to the upper end. Iron, 230 grams, 64 cm (25 1/4") From an old Nottingham collection; found while clearing a ditch in Mileham, Norfolk in the late 1980's. [No Reserve]
