Circa 2nd-3rd century AD A carved grey schist frieze fragment depicting three seated figures with columns between; the left figure with turban and necklace, the central with hair in a top-knot, the right with turban and shirt; the columns with vegetation to the top; each figure sitting cross-legged on a block with draped covering. Stone, 1.6 kg, 21 cm (8 1/4") Property of a European Gentleman living in London; acquired in the UK before 1980. [No Reserve]
