Moghul Empire, 16th-18th century AD A cast bronze ewer with socle base, bulbous body and narrow funicular neck; the spout s-curved with collar to the end; the handle springing from a loop to the neck, curved to a bifid lower end attached at the equator; the surface formed with scales to resemble a pineapple; the lid domed with scale decoration and knop. Bronze, 1.1 kg, 21 cm (8 1/4") Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1975. [No Reserve]
