Chinese Ceramic Pony Figurine

Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD or later A ceramic model of a pony with saddle blanket, saddle, crupper, bridle and stirrups all clearly modelled; the head with pierced lugs to the bridle for attachment of separate reins and hole to the chest for ornamental stud; modelled on a rectangular base. Ceramic, 1.9 kg, 26 cm (10 1/4") Acquired on the London art market in the late 1990's.
