Chinese Jade Zoomorphic Carving

19th century AD or earlier A carved jade pi-xiu with head turned back to bite its tail, the antler flat on the neck and the short wings behind the jaws. Jade, 45 grams, 42 mm (1 1/2") Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1975. The Pixui is a Chinese mythical creature, considered a very powerful protector for practitioners of Feng Shui.

Very fine condition.
