Circa 19th century AD or later A cast gilt-bronze incense burner comprising a tubular base with three feet formed as elephant heads, a scrolled flange and two cast dragon supporters to the rim; the cover a bell-shaped dome with openwork side beneath, openwork panel above depicting opposed dragons; the handle a knop formed as a coiled dragon. Gilt-bronze, 1.3 kg, 21 cm (8 1/4") Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
