Circa 19th century AD or later A hollow-cast gilt-bronze figure of a crouching panther with snarling face, teeth bared, ears flattened and eyes fixed; the body with pellets and leaf-shaped motifs; the claws splayed and tail recurved. Gilt-bronze, 425 grams, 18 cm (7") Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
