Circa 19th century AD or later A cast bronze disc mirror; on the reverse, a shallow recess with the image of a cross-legged figure on a dais with leaf-shaped decoration; the figure supporting a child with both hands, the child facing left with a leaf in its hands; to the left, a plant in a vase. Bronze, 690 grams, 16 cm (6 1/4") Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
