Yang Zhou Culture, 2000-1500 BC A tall ceramic vase with narrow base, biconical body, short tubular neck and two loop handles to the equator; the upper body repainted with linear chevrons in red and brown pigment, swags beneath and discoid panels with hatched grids; the neck with chevrons to the outside, scales to the inside. Ceramic, 2.3 kg, 28 cm (11") Acquired on the London art market in the late 1990's.
