An undated pewter openwork brooch formed as a central claw setting for a blue glass hemisphere surrounded by six petals decorated with alternating crowned and winged human masks, attached to an outer ring with running scroll decoration; to the obverse, attachment scars for the pin-lug and catchplate. Pewter, 26 grams, 52 mm (2") Private collection, Nottinghamshire, UK; acquired late 1980's - early 1990's; found Thames Foreshore, London, UK, 1980. [No Reserve]
