Post Medieval Silver Bifacial Madonna Pendant

An undated silver bifacial iconographic pendant, cast with a thick suspension loop above a crown; the obverse with rosette and bead border surrounding a scene of the nimbate Madonna with child in her left arm; to the reverse, a scene of the dove of the holy spirit descending towards the kneeling Madonna flanked by two nimbate saints supporting a crown above her head. Silver, 48 grams, 61 mm (2 1/2") Private collection, Nottinghamshire, UK; acquired late 1980's - early 1990's; found Westminster Bridge, Thames Foreshore, London, UK, 1975.

Very fine condition.
