Circa 5th century AD A stone intaglio carved with a pair of addorsed capricorns within a beaded border, set in a sympathetic modern gold finger ring. Gold and stone, 14 grams, 30 mm overall (approximate size British Z 1/2, USA 12 3/4, Europe 29.49, Japan 28") (1 1/4") UK art and antiquities market, acquired prior to 1990.

Very fine condition, wearable.
