Another Liberator roars off the end of the runway and out over the peaceful English countryside. A mission to Regensburg? A local training flight? John Young hasn't told us which, but he masterfully depicts the B-24 and those beautiful English fields that were home for so many Americans. This B-24J is from the 409th Bomb Squadron of the 93rd Bomb Group, Eight Air Force. The Absence of nose art indicates recent arrival in the U.K. and permanent crew assignment likely has not yet been made. The L/E print of 650 is signed and numbered by the artist and is in perfect condition. This print has never been mounted and comes with a COA suitable for framing. The image measures 19 1/2" x 13".
