Condition reportWear to upper corners of front covers and upper corner of first few dozen leaves in Vol II (affecting upper corners of plates), bands worn. Vol I’s front cover nearly separated. Vol I’s title page separated, chipped/torn near edges, and lightly soiled. 97 (of 101) plates (many heliogravures, mostly color lithographs, many heightened with gilt). 2 plates separated with edge creasing (Sec. 1, Plates III and VI). Toning to Sec. III, Pl I. Other plates very good to fine. Tear to tissue guard of Sec. VIII, Pl I. Staining to upper portion of last several leaves.
