Interesting Hammered Copper and Brass Mounted Jardiniere on Stand of Art Nouveau Influence, fourth quarter 19th century, the jardiniere featuring embossed lizards and stylized crabs and large brass handles, the wrought-iron stand with applied swirling art nouveau decor and ending in cloven feet, h. 56", dia. 25".

In good "as found" condition. The copper tub is fine. Has great detail and construction. No notable damage or imperfections. The stand has indication that there must have been two more circular rings or stretchers down further joining the legs. At the mid-point and near the bottom of the inside of the legs there are notches where these ring-form stretchers once fit in place. We are convinced the stand and bowl have always been together.
