Western Mexico, Colima, c.250 BC - 250 AD. A "Janus" type crème slip incense vessel. Identical male figure, (genitals exposed) squat back to back and wear a very tall open work headdress that doubles as a handle at top. Both have tongues hanging out, one with 2 toucans protruding atop his head. A wild piece! Some repair and losses. Rare! Ht: 17".
