Western Mexico, Nayarit, c.250 BC - 250 AD. A tall and wonderful red slip ceramic of a tall seated mother holding her child with both hands. Bare breasted she wears thick turban headdress with multi looped earrings and single nose ring. Teeth are nicely incised. Skirt is painted white. Ht: 17". Choice with some repair.
