Mexico, Veracruz, Remojades, c.250 BC - 250 AD. A crème slip ceramic of a standing male dancer clad in full dress which includes a alligator-like mask with tall crested helmet. Paddles held in both hands (repaired). Circular motif on legs, skirt, arms and chest. Back side reveals more detail along with flared skirt. Some repairs. Ht: 14.5". He also wears two large leg spools on each leg. On wood base. Very rare!
