A limestone relief depicting Osiris between Isis and a priest, Ptolemaic, c. 4th - 2nd Century BC, nicely incised hieroglyphic characters in several columns above and in three lines below. 9 1/2" x 6" (24.1 x 15.2 cm). Some damage to the central figure of Osiris and some strengthening of the incising throughout. The figures measure, from left to right, 6", 5 1/2", and 4 1/2". The piece weighs 6 lbs, 13 oz. A nice, displayable relief! Ex Dudley Short collection, acquired in the early 20th Century.
