A Bactrian alabaster jar, c. 3rd - 2nd Millennium BC, the body of squat spherical form with flattened base, narrow mouth and wide, flat rim. Some repair and restoration to the rim, but well hollowed out with nice translucent walls, H: 2 5/8" (6.6 cm); Dia: 4 1/2" (11.4 cm). Also included, a hand built ceramic bowl, Central Asia, with a geometric motif nicely incised through the deep brown slip. Intact, but date uncertain. H: 2 3/4" (6.9 cm); 4 7/8" (12.3 cm).
