An attractive Corinthian plemochoe, Late 6th - Early 5th Century BC, with raised disc foot and single handle. The top decorated with a geometric device between concentric circles, all in brown slip. The inside of the vessel also decorated with thick concentric circles in alternating brown and orange slip. H: 2 3/8" (6 cm); W: 5 3/4" (14.6 cm). Intact and a scarcer and more interesting Greek pottery form. Ex San Diego private collection, acquired in the 1960's and 1970's.
