190: Striped Corinthian Alabastron
A striped Corinthian alabastron, 6th Century BC, with near rounded base and characteristic wide, flat rim with single handle. Attractive banding around the body in brown slip, a petal design around the neck. H: 3" (7.6 cm). Intact with a few minor nicks and light wear to the slip. Ex Dr. Gilles collection, Germany, acquired in the 1950's & 1960's.
