A lovely Amlash grey-ware spouted vessel, Northern Iran, c. 1400 - 1200 BC, nicely burnished with two decorative rings below the mouth. The spout contained a U-shaped channel, the base of the channel adorned with a horned goat; single handle with raised pellet at the back. H: 10" (25.4 cm); L: 14" (35.6 cm). Intact and a handsome example. Ex Dr Paul Vignos Jr. Ohio acquired in the 1960's.
