A PAIR OF CHINESE GREY POTTERY FIGURES OF MEN, Han dynasty, Circa 206 B.C. - A.D. 220. Standing with a static pose - 24 1/4 in. high. They derive from a wooden model, the arms probably in wood and the clothes have dissapeared. For a similar figure see He Hi "Chinese Ceramics", ill. p. 73, pl. 63.PROVENANCE: Acquired in Singapore in the early 1980's.
