Near Pair of George III Silver Goblets, London, 1796, Peter & Ann Bateman, makers, of typical form, the ovoid goblets on tapered stems ending in round reeded feet atop square pedestal bases, one with gold-washed interior, both engraved to one side with a mottoed armorial "Veritas ad Finem," one with an engraved coat of arms to reverse, the other with monogram, ht. 6 1/8 in., approx. 12.6 troy oz.
Condition: Surface scratches to gold-washed bowl of one goblet; some minor usage wear overall.
