Painting, China, 20th century, of plum blossoms, ink and color on paper, signed and sealed Qi Baishi (1864-1957), dedicated to Yu San, 53" x 13 1/4", frame 62 1/2" x 19". Provenance: from the collection of Wen Tsan Yu, dedicated to Yu San, Yu’s moniker. For over fifty years, this collection has been treasured by the family. This prominent Chinese family can also trace its descent to Moy Toy Ni (Charlie Toy) of Milwaukee, a successful businessman widely known as Chinese Rockefeller during the early 20th century.
