Description
Larger than lifesize original bronze sculpture of a Crow Indian Chief by master of realism sculptor Dave McGary. Titled "Trophies of Honor" from his Warrior Series, it depicts a Crow chief's legendary achievement at the Battle of Little Big Horn by repeatedly charging General Custer’s line without injury. His battle trophies include a light U.S. Cavalry saber, 1870 Springfield carbine, and a U.S. Seventh Cavalry officer’s coat. Overall size 100"h x 44"l x 32"d at the granite base.
McGary's sculptures are in permanent collections at the U.S. Capitol National Statuary Hall, the Smithsonian Museum, and the White House collection in Washington, D.C.
