Fitzgerald writes to Helen [Thompson?]: "'The Sahara' will reach me - or 'Sheik Fitzgerald - Africa....'" The Fitzgeralds travelled to North Africa in February 1930, shortly before Zelda's first breakdown. Accompanied by an original photograph of Zelda and Scott riding camels. Lacking bottom left corner, not affecting text; dampstain to bottom portion of mat.
