This first one was particularly exciting, as the Yanks clawed their way back from an early 0-2 hole against the defending champion Braves, winning three consecutive road games before capping the title run with an emphatic Game 6 win in front of their home crowd. This gorgeous size 11-1/2 to 11-3/4 10K yellow gold World Championship ring weighs a hefty 42-1/2 grams (1-1/2 ounces), and belonged to Ray Quinones from the Yankees front office. On the top is a very large “NY” Yankees logo, with 23 brilliant round diamonds, one for each World Championship. It sits on top of a beautiful man-made blue sapphire, and is surrounded by a casting that reads “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1996”. The left side panel displays a casting with “QUINONES” on top of the words “COURAGE” and “HEART”, and an image of the championship trophy with the words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” under it. On the right side panel is a casting of the Yankees logo and the famed Yankee Stadium fence, as well as an engraving of the word “TRADITION”. The ring shows light wear and is in overall NRMT condition. Comes in the original wood presentation box with “NEW YORK YANKEES 1996 WORLD CHAMPIONS” engraved around the Yankees logo on top. Inside, the ring sits in the middle of navy blue felt lining.
