TOURMALINE, ROSE QUARTZ & SILVER HUMMINGBIRD
Artist: Peter Müller
One of the pre-eminent lapidary artists in the world, Peter Müller here presents a lovely little rose quartz hummingbird with spectacular wings of banded tourmaline in shades of pink, purple and green. The bird’s long silver beak dips into an amethyst flower on a silver stalk, with a second, closed flower, and three quartz leaves, all finely rendered, atop a pale matrix rock containing vivid green beryl crystals. It stands 5 1/8 inches high overall.
