Handcrafted in Italy
Handcrafted by Tuscan artisans, this fine box is clad in thinly sliced and matched pieces of vivid green malachite, arranged to maximize the natural concentric patterning of the mineral growth. Inset at the centre of each stalactitic pattern on all four sides and twice on the lid, the vivid dark pink of fine Argentinean rhodochrosite provides a dramatic demonstration in chromatic contrast. The black onyx interior is lined with black velvet with a necklace display pad and brass fittings. Raised on four malachite bun feet, it measures 9 1/8 x 9 x 4 3/4 inches.
