Although it hardly seems possible, these incredible patterns are not floral in origin, and yet they are entirely natural. In a lovely clear section of colorless quartz, iron-rich water seepage has deposited these striking, delicate, fern-like patterns in rich, deep brown; the quartz highly polished and fashioned into a teardrop shape measuring 57 mm long, in a glazed presentation box.
