A Rare French Inlaid Satinwood Fitted Gaming Box on Stand, mid to late 19th century, this lavishly outfitted gentlemans gaming box is adorned with ebony stringing and an inlaid ivory patera, opening to a fitted interior, the facade also with a drawer, both incorporating varied gaming items, including: boards, a chess and checker set, miniature billiard balls and sticks, varied colored ivory and composition denomination chips, playing cards for multiple games, markers and a mechanical racing game with a tole peinte track and horses with jockeys.
