Georgian silver cream pitcher by London silversmith Augustine Le Sage, 1768, having a gilt washed interior and spirally fluted gadrooned body. Provenance: Collection of Great Britainís Princess Royal, Princess Mary, Countess of Harewood, purchased by Dr. Armand Hammer in the 1950ís. 5.5Ēh., 9.340 troy oz.
It stands straight, some wear to gilt wash on interior and to some raised areas, some tarnish, some slight surface scratches and very small dents all of these are as you might expect to see in a piece of this age.
