It is somewhat ironic that the poster of a campaign that promoted personal accountability of every worker was produced by LenIZOGIZ at the time when its leaders had adopted the “brigade method” of poster production that downplayed the role of an individual artist. All posters were considered the product of a collective effort, and signed by the KhM mark.
Not surprisingly, with the ascent of the personal accountability approach, brigade art quickly fell out vogue.
