Item Details
Description
A very nice ivory cane of Queen Victoria. The elephant ivory handle is 3 3/4" high and 1 1/3" at its widest. At the top portion of the handle, a full bust of an older Queen Victoria is depicted in very nice detail. Her hair is long and she is wearing pearls. She is in state attire with a wide tasseled ribbon across one shoulder. There is a 1 1/4" sterling silver collar with Birmingham hallmarks for 1921. The shaft is black hardwood with a 7/8" horn ferrule. The overall length is 36" and the condition is excellent. (It may have been made to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her death.) It is a splendid historical example. Estimate: $1200-$1800.
