Artist: JEAN COCTEAU (1889-1963) Size: 30 x 44 3/4 in./76 x 114.7 cm Imp. Watelet, Paris Opening during the Nazi Occupation of France, Michel Duran’s Boléro was a well-received three-act comedy, later made into a film. Cocteau was also opening a play of his own in Paris at the time, so his collaboration with Duran on the poster for this play is both odd and interesting. The design itself is understated and lovely.
B-/ Restored tears, primarily at folds. Framed.
