US Model 1816 flintlock pistol by Simeon North having a 54 caliber 9-1/16" barrel clearly proofed and having the early lock marking of "MIDLN CON" below the eagle. There is a clear "V" over "LS" oval cartouche on the flat opposite the lock. The metal has smooth patina with clear markings and appears to be original flint with a sound stock. "E97" is stamped on the front of the grip (Clarence Erb collection). Good working order.
Good with expected wear.
