U.S. Model 1816 Type III musket dated 1829 by W.L. Evans having a patent breech bolster conversion to percussion, a 69 caliber 42-1/4" barrel, and "W.L.EVANS/eagle/V.FORGE" on the lock. The stock is worn but shows a cartouche while the metal has a smooth dark patina. The middle band is missing.
