Manufactured in 1914, the rifle features custom floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background and a dot and zigzag line border. Each side of the receiver has a round, scallop bordered panel with a deer in a wooded scene and there is a 1 1/2 inch wedge of the same engraving design on the three upper barrel flats at the breech end. The upper left barrel flat is marked with the two line address/1894 patent date ahead of the rear sight and the left upper rear flat is marked with the caliber designation. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT.OFF." and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. Standard blade front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights, blue finish with casehardened lever and hammer and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with light engraving on the steel forend cap and crescent buttplate tang.

Professionally custom embellished with streaks of blue finish mixed with smooth artificial brown patina present on the barrel and 95% blue finish on the magazine tube. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina. The wood is good with a 1 1/4 inch moderate scratch on the right side of the forearm and overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings and engraving remain clear and crisp. The action is fine.
