H & S began in Philadelphia, mid-90s, as talking machine dealers and makers of accessories. Edison soon black-balled them for minor offenses, but they enjoyed a long and fruitful collaboration with Columbia. Within a year or so, H & S introduced a line of fine furniture incorporating a talking machine mechanism and record storage. The quality of this piece is evident. Housing a Type 'A' Graphophone.
