Both bindings showing uniform wear with minor bumping and abrasion; spine of both volumes stamped, gilded, and with applied red and black labels with double banding, and divided into seven compartments. Pages uniformly toned with scattered foxing and some staining. Vol. I with title page, Preface, History of the English Language, and Grammar. Vol. II with title page. Heraldic bookmark of George Burrish pasted down, and signature of William H.E. Worship on flyleaf.
