Description
1933 Washington Senators Team Signed World Series Travel Train Menu. The end of an era was upon Major League Baseball, as the Cincinnati Reds would become the first ballclub to travel by airplane in 1934. But this Depression-era relic found the Senators still riding the rails, returning home to Griffith Stadium after dropping the first two games of the Series to the New York Giants at the Polo Grounds. The cover of this special four-page menu is autographed on the cover by eighteen members of the last pennant-winning Senators team, notably Hall of Famers Sam Rice, Joe Cronin (secretarial), Goose Goslin, Heinie Manush, and the popular Moe Berg and Nick Altrock. Signature quality averages 8/10, with none listed dropping below that mark. Some general handling wear and a tape repair at upper right. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
