80936: 1924 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball
1924 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball. Connie Mack was slowly but surely building the team that would ride the white elephant back to the pinnacle of baseball achievement, following a lengthy swoon precipitated by the disbanding of his "$100,000 Infield" of the early teens. Twenty-three autographs adorn this OAL (Johnson) ball, most notably Mack himself, as well as Simmons, Dykes, Miller, Perkins, Bishop and Rommel. Signatures average 7/10 to 8/10, with only a few dipping from that range to a level of 4/10. Likely the finest surviving example from this club, and the first we've ever encountered. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
