Description
1950's-2000's Unassisted Triple Play Makers Multi-Signed Baseball. Extraordinary sphere celebrates the rarest and most exciting defensive play in the sport. This one begins with the earliest recorded Big League trifecta, a 4/10 ink offering from Neal Ball, who claimed his victims on July 19, 1909, and died in 1957. Also passing away in 1957 was Ernie Padgett (6/10), who recorded the earliest Junior Circuit solo triple play in 1923. Fourteen signatures are here in total: Wambsganss (3/10), Burns (3/10), Wright (2/10), Neun (8/10), Cooney (8/10), Hansen (7/10), Valentin (9/10), Tulowitzki (9+/10), Cabrera (9+/10), Morandini (9+/10), Furcal (9+/10), Velarde (9+/10). Unquestionably the only such ball in existence, as who else was even dreaming of theme balls back in the 1950's?! Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
