Here we present the "Holy Grail" of Green Bay Packers memorabilia - the 1932 Walker's Cleaners photograph premiums set. The 1931 Champs are presented on heavy cardboard stock, measuring at approximately 8 x 10" and splendidly displayed in the original "Walker Packer Series" folder (VG-EX,with a 1x2" portion loose from the top-left corner). Demonstrating the intense scarcity of this historic piece of sports nostalgia, it is one of only a few complete Walker's Packers sets to have been offered at public auction.
All 27 photographs are accompanied with their original info sheets and include the extremely tough E.L. "Curly" Lambeau piece and others: Frank Baker, Russ Sanders (light staining), Wuert Englemann, Hank Bruder (info sheet torn in half), Waldo Don Carlos, Roger Grove, Mike Michalske, Milton Gantenbein (light staining), LaVerne Dilweg, Verne Lewellen, Red Dunn, Johnny Blood McNally, Jug Earp, Arnie Herber, Dick Stahlman, Red Sleight, Rudy Comstock, Jim Bowdoin, Hurdis McCrary, Bo Molenda, Cal Hubbard, Paul Fitzgibbon, Tom Nash, Mule Wilson (light staining), Whitey Woodin, and Nate Barragar.
The typical light toning, and minor wrinkles are present on the interior images, while averaging an impressive EX in quality. Many advanced collectors have never even seen one example from this elusive issue, so we anticipate that this complete collection will turn the heads of not only serious gridiron collectors, but the majority of cultured experts from the sports collecting arena.
