Description
1913 Baseball Scrapbook with Stubs from Indians vs. Pirates Postseason Exhibition Series. A trio of Game 4 ticket stubs and accompanying newspaper clippings will add a little-to-unknown chapter to the Dead Ball Era history books. We surely hadn't been aware that Honus Wagner and "Shoeless Joe" Jackson ever met on the field of battle, but now we know they did, in a seven game series played just after the close of the 1913 regular season. Three stubs for Game 4 of the "Cleveland vs. Pittsburg" contest are affixed to a scrapbook page amidst clippings for the results of all seven games, which found the Pirates winning the decisive seventh. Stubs show fan's handling wear and no other issues (other than being glued down), having been protected in the pages of the book. A Tigers small Fatima card (Good) is also found glued to a page within, with the balance of material news clippings from the 1913 World Series and other contests.
