Description
1988 Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship Ring Presented to Tony Campbell. The six-foot seven small forward/shooting guard out of Ohio State was the Detroit Pistons' first round draft pick in 1984, but was fortunate enough to land in Los Angeles for the 1987-88 season, meeting his former team in a tense seven-game NBA Finals. Presented is the ring he earned for his contributions to the victorious cause, a gorgeous fourteen karat gold prize announcing "World Champion Lakers 1988" at the perimeter of the face. Twenty-one round diamonds give sparkle to the design, and represent .50 total carat weight. Left shank features an NBA logo and the words "Back to Back, 1987-1988." Right shank attributes the ownership to "Campbell," and reports the Finals result below a Lakers team logo. Band is stamped "14k" at interior, and ring tips the scales at 41.5 grams. The ring was clearly worn proudly, but still presents very nicely. A very tough player's ring from those glory days of Worthy, Kareem and Magic Johnson.
