Artist biography:
Helmut Reuter was born on December 12th, 1913 in the Rhineland region of Germany. He received his first form of education in the arts from his father Wilhelm Reuter, a famous landscape painter.
Helmut then continued his studies with Alfred Rosenberger, top student in the class of Professor Clarenbach. During his studies, Helmut Reuter traveled through Holland, the South of France, and Spain. His paintings naturally lean towards impressionism and they portray motifs and tell stories of the Rhineland region, north German seashores, the North Sea and Spanish cities.
